Every dog is different, and so is every household — which is exactly why a single training program was never going to work for everyone. Below, you'll find a few different ways to work together, whether that's in-home dog training in Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, North Port, or the surrounding areas, a virtual consultation, or a self-paced online program you can move through at your own speed. Wherever you start, the goal is the same: a stronger relationship with your dog and a life together that actually feels good day to day.
Every in-home program starts the same way — with me coming to your house to meet you and your dog in the environment where you actually live. That's where I get the clearest picture of what's really going on: how your dog behaves day to day, what's already working, and what isn't. It's also your chance to ask questions and get a feel for whether we're a good match before committing to anything further.
Having someone new in your home is worth taking seriously, and I want you to feel just as confident about that decision as I do.
We'll spend the consultation talking through what's been hardest, what a realistic outcome actually looks like for your dog, and what a plan built specifically for you would involve. By the time we're done, you'll walk away with a clearer read on your dog's behavior, a few practical steps to start using immediately, and a straightforward recommendation for which program fits best.
Private lessons are built for owners who want to be hands-on in the process, not just hand the leash over and hope for the best.
We start in your home, since that's where your dog is most relaxed and where most of the behaviors you're trying to change actually show up day to day. Once your dog is ready to handle a little more distraction, we'll take things out into public settings too — practicing loose leash walking, polite greetings, or staying settled around other dogs in the situations where it actually counts.
Because you're just as much a part of these lessons as your dog is, this option works best for owners who are willing to put in some practice between sessions. Progress tends to track pretty closely with consistency — the more you work on your homework, the more you'll see it pay off. I'll be with you throughout that process to guide you, answer questions, and adjust the plan as your dog grows and changes.
The Foundations Program and Mild Manners Program tend to be the most popular starting points, but if your dog needs something more specific, I'm always glad to build a custom plan around that instead. We'll figure out the right fit together during your consultation.
If private lessons alone don't feel like enough, but boarding your dog somewhere else isn't what you want either, Homeschool Training sits right in between. Your dog stays home in the environment they already know, gets worked with multiple times throughout the week, and you still get the hands-on education you need to keep it all going. Homeschool Training is available throughout Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, North Port, and the surrounding areas.
Each Homeschool week runs four days. For the first three, I come to you and work one-on-one with your dog directly — building skills, layering in repetition, and making real progress while you go about your normal week. On the fourth day, we meet for a private lesson where everything gets handed back to you: what your dog has learned, how to keep reinforcing it, and where we're headed next.
Training multiple times a week like this makes a real difference — it's what lets me build the kind of consistency and repetition that takes real time to develop, and gets your dog further along before we even sit down for your lesson together. You're still very much part of the process; I'm just doing more of the groundwork upfront so your time together counts for more.
From here, you can choose between the Jump Start Program or the Dream Dog Program, or we can build something custom around what you and your dog actually need.
Coming Soon*
Not everyone has a schedule that leaves room for weekly lessons, and not everyone lives close enough to work with me in person — the Online Learning Membership is being built for exactly that gap. Soon, you'll have the flexibility to train whenever it actually fits your week, without losing the support that makes training stick in the first place.
Once it launches, membership will get you access to both the training course and the community behind it. You'll be able to move through the lessons at whatever pace makes sense for you, rewatch anything you need to revisit, and ask questions as they come up. You'll also be joining a group of other dog owners working through the same thing at the same time — with regular check-ins from me, new training content, ongoing discussion, and the kind of accountability that helps momentum actually stick.
